Pizza Cheesesteak Sandwich
Using the Weber Griddle, I cooked up some peppers, onions, Italian sausage and thinly sliced steak... seasoned it all really good - and topped with pepporonoi and LOTS of cheese!
1 green bell pepper chopped
1 medium onion chopped
2 Tablespoons Malcom's Italian Stallion Seasoning
1lb Italian Sausage
1lb thinly sliced steak
1 package sliced pepperoni
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 pack sliced mozzarella cheese
1 jar marinara sauce
1/2 cup graded parmesan cheese
1 Tablespoon crushed red pepper
Preheat the Weber Griddle for cooking on medium heat level.
Apply a small drizzle of cooking oil to griddle surface and toss on the diced green pepper and onion. Season with Italian Stallion seasoning and cook until softened about 4 minutes. Also place a small pot on the griddle and pour in the marinara sauce to warm.
Brown the Italian sausage while the veggies cook. Slide sausage and vegetables over to the side of the griddle to keep warm.
Cook the thinly sliced steak on the griddle using your spatulas to break it apart. Season the steak with Italian Stallion seasoning. Combine the cooked steak with the sausage and vegetables.
Arrange the meat and vegetables into bun size piles and top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Lay slices of pepperoni on top and top with slices of mozzarella, Place the rolls over the top and allow to heat for 45 seconds.
Carefully flip the sandwiches over and ladle on the warm marinara sauce along with grated parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of crushed red pepper.
