Don't Tell The Doctor Dip

Serve this at your next BBQ... just don't tell the Dr...

Ingredients

  • 8oz block cream cheese
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup Blue Plate Mayonnaise
  • 1lb thin bacon 
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dip Mix
  • 1 bunch green onions (chopped)

Directions

  1. Cook the bacon on a sheet pan in the oven at 420 until crispy (about 12- 17 minutes). Drain and crumble (reserve a little of the bacon for topping the dip before serving)
  2. Combine room temperature (softened) cream cheese and room temperature butter in a mixing bowl. Add sour cream and mayo - stir well to combine.
  3. Add the bacon, cheese, chopped green onion (save a little for serving), and ranch dip mix. Stir to combine and transfer to a serving bowl.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  5. To serve - top the dip with reserved bacon and green onion and serve with corn chips or your favorite chip or cracker.

That is almost my BLT dip. Just add some tomatoes to that concoction. And I like the other comment about adding a drop of horseradish. It’s delicious
