Grilled wings with a sticky, sweet BBQ sauce caramelized on the outside. You can grill these on any charcoal grill - just setup a 2-zone fire and cook the wings indirect. Perfect tailgate recipe!
BBQ Hot Wings
I love chicken wings - and I love to cook them all different kinds of ways with all different kinds of flavors. These wings have a good, grilled bbq flavor and a sticky, sweet sauce baked on the outside. They are fantastic - and perfect for watching the game.

Ingredients
-
4lbs Whole Chicken Wings
-
1/4 cup Killer Hogs AP Seasoning
-
2 Tablespoons onion powder
-
1/4 cup Killer Hogs Hot Rub
-
1 cup Killer Hogs The BBQ Sauce
Directions
Place the wings on a cutting board or large platter and blot dry with paper towel to remove as much moisture as possible.
Season the wings with AP seasoning, onion powder, and Hot rub on all sides.
Prepare a charcoal grill for indirect cooking (I used a charcoal vortex in my Weber grill but any grill will work set up for indirect grilling)
Place the wings around the outer edge of the cooking grate in the indirect zone and cook for 30 minutes. Flip the wings and continue cooking until internal temperature reaches 165-170.
Brush The BBQ Sauce on the the wings and season with a light coat of Hot Rub. Continue to cook for 10 minutes.
Flip each wing over and brush with The BBQ Sauce and Hot Rub. Continue to cook until the sauce begins to caramelize. I take the wings to 190-195 for best texture.
I didn’t see a temp for the grill?
