Ingredients
- 1 lb steak (any kind, cubed)
- 4 cups cooked rice (preferably cold)
- 2 eggs
- 1 onion, diced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup steakhouse butter (recipe below)
- 1/4 cup W sauce (or Worcestershire sauce)
- Killer Hogs Steak Rub (or your favorite steak seasoning)
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) softened butter
- 1/2 shallot, finely chopped
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp W sauce (or Worcestershire sauce)
Directions
- Cube your steak (about 1 lb) and marinate it in 1/4 cup of W sauce for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your griddle for medium-high heat. Spread the marinated steak cubes evenly on the hot surface to ensure even cooking. Sear the steak on all sides until a crust forms.
- Once the steak has developed a good crust, remove it from the heat and set it aside to avoid overcooking.
- On the same griddle, add the diced onions and sliced mushrooms. Cook them until softened.
- Season the vegetables with some Killer Hogs Steak Rub and a splash of W sauce for added flavor.
- Use cold, cooked rice for the best fried rice texture. Add the rice to the griddle or skillet and start to fry it, spreading it out evenly.
- Season the rice with more Killer Hogs Steak Rub and a dash of W sauce.
- Place spoonfuls of the steakhouse butter over the rice and mix it in, letting the flavors coat the rice.
- In a separate area on the griddle, scramble the eggs. Once cooked, mix them into the rice.
- Add the cooked vegetables back into the rice and mix well. Finally, return the steak cubes to the griddle and fold them into the fried rice.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or more Steak Rub or W sauce if desired.
- Serve family-style on a large platter, and enjoy!
