Sausage Sage Dressing

Thanksgiving cornbread dressing recipe kicked up with sausage, seasonings and spices.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups crumbled cornbread (day old is best)
  • 1lb sage breakfast sausage, browned 
  • 3 ribs celery, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2oz diced pimento peppers, drained
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 TBSP Killer Hogs AP Seasoning
  • 1 TBSP rubbed sage

Directions

  1. Prepare pellet smoker for indirect cooking at 350 degrees. 
  2. In a large bowl combing crumbled cornbread, celery, onion, pimento, and browned sausage. 
  3. Add chicken broth and stir. Season with AP and sage and pour into greased baking pan. 
  4. Place on smoker and cook for 45 min to 1 hour or until dressing is set and top begins to brown.
