you've heard of sausage balls... well these are kicked up PIZZA versions with Italian sausage, pepporoni and mozzerella cheese!
Pizza Sausage Balls
Instant game day classic... pizza sausage balls! And yes, you can cook them in the oven, but it's more fun on the smoker!

Ingredients

2 cups Bisquick Baking Mix

1lb Mild Italian Sausage

1 cup Diced Pepperoni

8oz. Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)

8oz. Monterey Jack Cheese (shredded)

8oz Cream Cheese
-
1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning or Pizza Seasoning
Directions
Preheat the Smoker: Preheat your smoker to 350°F (175°C).
Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick Baking Mix, mild Italian sausage, diced pepperoni, shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, cream cheese, and Italian seasoning or pizza seasoning. Mix until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Roll into Balls: Roll the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch balls.
Prepare the Skillet: Place the sausage balls on a cast iron skillet, making sure they're evenly spaced.
Smoke the Sausage Balls: Place the skillet on the smoker and cook the sausage balls for 20 minutes. Then, flip each ball and continue to smoke for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until they are fully cooked and golden brown.
Serve: Remove the sausage balls from the smoker and let them cool slightly. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
