Ingredients
-
2lbs breakfast sausage
- 1 small white onion diced
- 1 red bell pepper diced
- 8oz sliced white button mushrooms
- 1 package frozen hash brown potatoes 32oz - thawed
- 4 cups shredded cheese
- 6 eggs
-
1 Tablespoon Killer Hogs AP Seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
-
1 Tablespoon Killer Hogs Hot Sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 3-4 Green onions
Directions
Brown the breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat. As the sausage cooks add the diced onion and red bell pepper. Cook for 2 minutes then add the sliced mushrooms. Use a paper towel to absorb excess grease and place the sausage mixture in a large bowl.
- Add the package of thawed hash brown potatoes and season with AP Seasoning. Stir 3 cups of shredded cheese and pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
- In a separate bowl whisk 6 eggs with the heavy cream and season with salt and black pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the casserole dish and place in a 350-degree pellet grill for 40 minutes. Top with the remaining cup of shredded cheese and continue to cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly about 10 more minutes.
- Serve with extra hot sauce and thinly sliced green onions.
