For this recipe you turn a flat iron steak into sweet, spicy and tender steak sticks using some Asian flavors and a charcoal grill.
Spicy Thai Steak Sticks

Flat iron steak cut into strips and threaded on bamboo skewers - then marinaded in a Thai marinade... and grilled over charcoal. These steak skewers make a great game-day appetizer!

Ingredients

1 flat iron steak

1 cup soy sauce

2 Tablespoons sesame oil

1 bottle sweet Thai chili sauce

5 cloves minced garlic

3 Tablespoons Thai seasoning paste

4-5 green onions sliced thin
Directions
Slice flat iron steaks into thin strips and thread each strip onto a skewer.
Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, Thai seasoning paste, sweet Thai chili sauce, and green onion in a mixing bowl.
Pour 1/2 of marinade over skewered steak strips and marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator. Save the remaining marinade until ready to grill.
Prepare Charcoal grill for 2 zone grilling (hot and cool side).
Place steak skewers on the grill - meat side over hot coals.
Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Brush with remaining marinade and cook an additional 1-2 minutes on each side.
Remove from grill and garnish with additional sliced green onion to serve.
